RCSD Responds to Armed Robbery on S. Beltline Blvd.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an armed robbery call in Columbia late Wednesday night.

According to a release by the Sheriff's Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 11:30pm Wednesday to the 500 block of South Beltline Blvd. in Columbia, just south of Rosewood Blvd.

The victim was allegedly approached by two men, with one of the suspects firing a gun into the air and demanding money from the victim.

The suspects stole the victims wallet along with the person's cash.

The Richland County Sheriff's office is asking for the public to reach out if you can provide any information:
