Officers trying to catch Forest Acres burglar

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Richland County Sheriff’s deputies and Forest Acres police are searching for a burglar.

A homeowner on Fernwood Road saw someone breaking into the house and called police about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. Richland County officers responded and then Forest Acres police helped set up a perimeter to catch the burglar, said Forest Acres Police Lt. Bryant Hinson.

Officers could be seen around Satchel Ford Elementary School, though students were being dismissed at noon for a previously scheduled half-day.
