METRO MADNESS 2 BOXING COMPETITION

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - The Palmetto Boxing Association in partnership with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and Columbia Police Department will present a boxing match between a Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputy and Columbia Police Department officer as part of the Metro Madness 2 boxing competition that will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 at the Township Auditorium, 1703 Taylor Street, Columbia.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said the Palmetto Boxing Association will donate four ballistic vests to law enforcement officers after conducting the boxing competition. Sheriff’s Department Deputy Patrick “The Hammer” Hanko will face Columbia Police Department Officer Emanuel DeJesus in the law enforcement boxing match.

Tickets are on sale for the boxing competition at a cost of $16 for a regular seat and $26 for a floor/ringside seat, Metts said. Tickets can be purchased by calling (803) 576-2350. Citizens also can purchase tickets online at ticketmaster.com.

In addition, VIP tables will be available at a cost of $600 per table, with ringside seating for six persons, food and drinks and the opportunity to meet professional boxers, Metts said. VIP tables can be purchased by calling (803) 816-0011.
