High School Coach Charged: Sexual Battery of a Student

Lancaster, SC – On Friday 09/21/2012 Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested and charged Tony Allen Ford (W/M DOB:07/11/1976 Address: 3241 Dunbar Ln. Indian Land, SC) with sexual battery of a student.

After receiving a report of suspicious activity from the parent of a former student at Indian Land High School, the Sheriff’s Office began an investigation.

During the course of that investigation it was discovered that Ford had a consensual sexual relationship with former student over a 1 ½ year period. The sexual relationship began when the student was 16 years old.

During the time of the relationship, Ford was employed at Lancaster High School as a teacher and Indian Land High School as a Coach.

Ford was jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center. Ford was released on 09/22/2012 on a $15,000 surety bond.
