Deputies: Sprint employees triggered alarm before robbers could get anything
Friday, September 28, 2012

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Two men wielding guns tried to rob a Sprint store on Sparkleberry Lane back in July, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Officials say the gunmen entered the store, located at 1131-B Sparkleberry Lane, around 9 p.m. and forced two employees to the floor.

However, the employees were able to trigger an alarm, causing the suspects to flee the scene before they could even take anything.

Authorities have not provided a description of the suspects, but a look at surveillance video shows the pair wearing dark clothing, hats, and shorts.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
