Reward in Case of Gabbiee Swainson, Missing Columbia Teen, Raised to $6,000
Saturday, August 25, 2012

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The reward for information in the case of missing Columbia teenager Gabbiee Swainson has been raised to $6,000.

A mix of monies from Crimestoppers, a community member's donations, and the sheriff's department was pooled to reach that figure. The reward is for information leading to locating Gabbiee or the arrest of anyone responsible for her disappearance,.

Meanwhile, the FBI is joining in the search for Swainson. Richland County deputies confirmed Friday that FBI agents have volunteered their services.

Swainson, 15, hasn't been seen since August 18. The girl's mother said when she returned home from working an overnight shift around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning her daughter was missing. Related Coverage: Mom: This is Not a Game, This is Someone's Life

Investigators have said there were no signs of foul play, and investigators and her family do not believe she is a runaway.

A digital billboard is up at the intersection of Gervais and Assembly Street in Columbia showing Swainson's picture. Her information has also been posted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Kids website.

Gabrielle is a black female, 5' 2" tall, with black hair. She was last seen wearing pink and black pajamas.
