Orangeburg deputies need help with ID of armed robbery suspect
Tuesday, August 21, 2012

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in identifying a man who robbed a Charleston Highway business on Thursday.

"Officers were called to the business at 1:43 p.m. Thursday after a man with a handgun demanded wallets from two of the three patrons that were in the business at the time of the robbery," said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. "The suspect was last seen in a dark colored vehicle. Officers in the area were able to respond within three minutes and immediately began to locate the suspect's vehicle."

An image from surveillance cameras was released to help identify the suspect. He is described as a white male wearing a dark colored shirt with writing on the front and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigations at the Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
