Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking help from citizens in identifying suspects
Thursday, August 16, 2012

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking help from citizens in identifying three men who broke into one home on Baffin Bay Road near Irmo and one home on Lambeth Court near Irmo at about 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 9. The three men stole electronic equipment, including televisions, computers and video game players, from the two homes.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said detectives on Tuesday, August 14 released a photo of a white Dodge sedan, possibly a 2002 Dodge Stratus, that the three men used in committing the burglaries. A citizen took a photo of the car after seeing the car parked outside a home that was burglarized. It appears that the Dodge sedan had a dent in the rear quarter panel on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Witnesses told deputies that the three men are African-Americans, who are between the ages of 20 and 30, Metts said. Each of the three men were broad-shouldered and weighed about 250 pounds. One of the men had long braids in his hair.

Metts asked anyone with information about the three men, the white Dodge sedan or the burglaries at the homes on Baffin Bay Road and Lambeth Court to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (www.lexingtonsheriff.com).
