Case of Missing Teen; Sheriff, Crimestoppers, Citizen offer reward for information
Monday, August 27, 2012

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott stated that investigators continue to vigorously search for Gabrielle Swainson.

The Sheriff stated that her disappearance is being looked at from every angle and is extremely concerning to him. The Sheriff added that he is partnering with family, friends, State and Federal Law Enforcement and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in solving this case.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the outpouring of positive thoughts and prayers needs to continue; and an example of the support for the family occurred earlier today when an anonymous community member came forward and donated $2500 toward the reward being offered. The Sheriff stated that the Sheriff’s Department is also matching this donation and with the $1000 crimestoppers’ offers, it brings the total reward, for information leading to locating Gabi or the arrest of anyone responsible for her disappearance, to $6000.

Sheriff Leon Lott added that Grace Outdoors and Lamar Advertising have graciously agreed to run Gabi’s picture on their digital billboard space across the Midlands in hopes that it will help bring her home.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
