15-year-old disappears, deputies seek information
Tuesday, August 21, 2012

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department is seeking information in the disappearance of a 15-year-old Columbia girl who was last seen in her bedroom at her home in southeast Columbia.

Gabbiee Swainson's mother, Elvia, says she left the home early Saturday morning to go to work and when she returned her daughter was gone.

Investigators say the only thing missing from the home is Gabbiee's cell phone.

Authorities have found no evidence that the teenager was abducted. She has no history of running away.

According to sheriff's deputies, Gabbiee is 5'2" tall, has black hair, and was last seen wearing pink and black pajamas.

She is scheduled to start her sophomore year at Ridgeview High School on Thursday.

A Facebook page has been created to help find Gabbiee: http://www.facebook.com/findGabbiee

If you know Gabbiee's whereabouts, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
