Sheriff’s Office Arrests Armed Robbery Suspect
Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Lancaster, SC (Wednesday 07/25/2012) – The Sheriff’s Office has arrested David Leroy Deese (W/M DOB: 05/02/1967 Address: 2562 Cane Mill Rd. Lancaster) and charged him with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. On 07/25/2012 at approximately 0534 am Deputies were dispatched to Rusty’s Grill located at 2423 Pineview Dr. Lancaster regarding an attempted Armed Robbery. Patrol Deputies, Criminal Investigators, and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Deese was located a short time later several streets away from the scene by a patrol deputy. Deese is currently being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Sheriff Faile said, “First and foremost I am thankful that no one was injured during this incident. The business owner showed great restraint as he rightfully defended himself and his business.
