No Sunday sales: Suspect shatters glass door, steals 36 beers
Friday, July 27, 2012

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is trying to figure out who is responsible for breaking into a store on Sunday and stealing 36 beers.

According to an incident report, officers were dispatched to Kents Korner located at 6670 Augusta Highway in reference to an alarm call on July 22.

Upon arrival, deputies noticed the front glass door of the business had been shattered, the report stated.

Deputies say they cleared the building and met with the store manager who checked store surveillance video.

Deputies say on the video, the suspect attempted to hide his face from the cameras as he entered the business through the front door.

While inside the store, the suspect took two 18-packs of beer valued at $25 and fled the scene, the report stated.

Deputies say video surveillance captured the suspect re-entering the store for a second time, but no items were taken.

According to the report, the estimated damage to the glass door is $500.
