Aiken DPS Investigators arrest one suspect in Wendy's Robbery, seek assistance in locating additional

AIKEN, SC - Aiken Department of Public Safety investigators have made an arrest in
the Armed Robbery at Wendy's Restaurant, 1901 Whiskey Road, which
occurred on July 9 at approximately 0115 hours.

On 07/20/2012 Denzel Bates (17) of Aiken, SC was arrested at his
residence and charged with Armed Robbery. Mr. Bates was an employee on
scene at Wendy's the night of the robbery. Thru the course of the
investigation it was discovered Mr. Bates was a participant in the
planning the robbery. He was incarcerated at Aiken County Detention

Investigators are currently asking for assistance in locating a second
individual involved. He is Marquis Carter (26) of New Ellenton, SC.
Mr. Carter is to be considered armed and dangerous.

There is also a third unidentified male wanted for the incident.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information related to the
whereabouts of Mr. Carter or the identity of the third individual to
