Monday, June 25, 2012

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Palmetto Boxing and Buffalo Wild Wings in partnership with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on June 16 presented a check in the amount of $2,287 to Pray 4 Kennedy. The check reflected proceeds from fund raisers that have been conducted to benefit Kennedy Branham, a Lexington teen-ager who is undergoing treatment for a malignant brain tumor.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said the checks were presented to Pray 4 Kennedy on June 16 at the Township Auditorium, 1703 Taylor Street, Columbia, prior to the main event at the Metro Madness professional boxing event. The check reflected proceeds from four fund raisers that were conducted for Pray 4 Kennedy.

Sgt. Bill Finch coordinated the participation of the Sheriff’s Department in the Pray 4 Kennedy fund raisers, Metts said. Finch serves as a road patrol supervisor in the North Region Patrol District, which is based near Irmo.
