Suspect Wanted in West Columbia Armed Robbery

West Columbia, SC – The West Columbia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at K&M Jewelry, located at 507 Meeting Street in West Columbia on May 9, 2012.

Chief Dennis Tyndall stated that a black male suspect entered the store, presented a black handgun and demanded jewelry. The suspect was wearing a dark suit, gray hat and large black sunglasses. The suspect is further described as being in his late 40’s or early 50’s, approximately 506-508 and weighing between 150-170. During the robbery, the suspect vehicle’s rear window was shot out by the storeowner. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a silver mini-van. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
