LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Members of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Dive Team and Lake Murray Marine Patrol will participate in a Spring Fling event between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at Pineview Elementary School, 3035 Leaphart Road, West Columbia.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said School Resource Officer Shawn Dunkley is coordinating the participation of the Sheriff’s Department in the Spring Fling event, which the school’s parent-teacher organization will conduct as a fund raiser for the school.

Members of the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Dive Team and Lake Murray Marine Patrol will conduct static displays at the event, Metts said. The participation of the Sheriff’s Department in the Spring Fling event reflects the agency’s mission of providing professional law enforcement services that enhance the quality of life for all people in Lexington County.
