Deputies seek burglar who stole $20K in jewelry, TV’s

ORANGEBURG, SC - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary where an estimated $20,000 in jewelry and TV’s were reported stolen.

Deputies say they responded to a burglary call at a Shore Drive residence Friday.

According to the homeowner, around 6:30 p.m. he returned home to find that someone had forced their way into the home through a back patio door.

The homeowner told deputies that a 60-inch TV, a 32-inch TV and $20,000 in jewelry were missing.

Among some of the jewelry stolen were a S.C. palmetto tree and crescent moon necklace, a gold watch, pearl earrings, a gold picture locket, diamond earrings, a gold rope chain and a 2.5-dollar gold coin pendant.
