Deliveryman caught in crossfire of downtown shooting
Wednesday, April 4, 2012

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting at the intersection of Beltline Boulevard and Blossom Street.

CPD spokesperson Jennifer Timmons says the shooting involved two vehicles, but it is not known if one or both vehicles fired shots.

Timmons also says a Jimmy Johns deliveryman was caught in the crossfire of the shooting, but did not need treatment.

A bullet, however, did go through the driver's car door and damaged one of his mirrors.

This all happened right outside a Dollar General store. A clerk inside the store said he heard gunshots and heard a car squeal off.

Columbia Police are now looking for suspects in this case. If you have any information, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
