Two Arrested in Nightclub Killing
Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Santee, SC (WLTX) - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a fatal nightclub shooting in the Orangeburg County town of Santee.

Officers have arrested 21-year-old Darren Rashad Abraham and 17-year-old Jerrell Lee.

Officers say around 2 a.m. Sunday, two groups of men got into an argument at Bill's Bar and Grill. The fight then continued on the outside, and shortly afterward, shots were fired.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell syas a 19-year-old man from Holly Hill was hit by a bullet, and was later pronounced dead.

It saddens us that a young life has been lost and another young person will face the consequences of his involvement in taking that life, but if you commit a crime, you are going to jail," said Ravenell in a statement.
