Sheriff’s Office Investigating Shooting Deaths
Sunday, March 25, 2012

Lancaster, SC (Friday 02-24-2012) On Friday 02-24-2012 at approximately 10:57 pm Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to “The Café” located on Old Landsford Rd. Lancaster, SC. Upon arrival Deputies located Jonathan Duvall Reid (B/M DOB: 09/13/1986 Lancaster) on the ground in front of the night club. Reid had been shot and was in critical condition. Deputies also located Azor Lee Cloud (B/M DOB:06/21/1981 Lancaster) lying in the middle of the road approximately 50 yards away. Cloud was pronounced dead on the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Reid was transported by ambulance to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators responded and began a detailed investigation. Multiple shell casings were located in the roadway and side walk in front of the club. Deputies interviewed multiple witnesses among the crowd and were advised that no one saw what happened.

Reid was just recently released from the Lancaster County Detention Center on 03/01/2012. Reid was being held on a murder charge after his bond was originally denied at the time of his original arrest in 2010. Reid’s bond was then set to $50,000 surety bond and 24/7 house arrest on December 9th, 2010. Reid however was not ordered to have GPS monitoring. Reid was able to post that bond on 03/01/2012 and was released.

Sheriff Faile said, “We have started a detailed investigation and no stone will go unturned until we find out who is responsible for these deaths. It’s frustrating when there were so many people there and no one is willing to come forward with information. I encourage anyone with information to come forward by contacting us directly or Crimestoppers using the below contact numbers.
