Sheriff’s Office Investigating Shooting on Flint Ridge Rd. in Heath Springs

Lancaster, SC – On Friday 03/23/2012 at approximately 2:15 pm Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to 1571 Flint Ridge Rd. Heath Springs, SC regarding a shooting. Upon arrival a female subject was found at the residence. The female subject advised that she had just shot a male subject at the residence. The male subject fled from the residence and was located nearby on Earl Cauthen Rd. The male subject had what appeared to be one gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was flown by helicopter to the hospital.

Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation. At this time all known involved parties have been located and are being interviewed by the Sheriff’s Office to determine the details of the incident. The male and female were involved in a relationship and the incident does appear to be domestic related.
