LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking help from citizens in finding a 38-year-old West Columbia woman who was reported missing to the Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, March 20.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said detectives are concerned for the well-being of Amy Nicole Hill because Hill’s relatives told detectives that it is out of character for Hill to remain out of contact with them for a prolonged period of time. In addition, Hill has medical conditions that require her to take prescription medications, and Hill does not have the medications with her.

Hill’s father, Larry Dean Roberts, reported Hill missing to the Sheriff’s Department, Metts said. Hill was last seen on March 16 at the home of her estranged boyfriend, James Jason Kirkland, at 521 Old Wire Road near West Columbia.

Kirkland told deputies that Hill was at his residence when he left for work on March 16, Metts said. Later that day, Kirkland told deputies that Hill was not at his residence when he returned home after running errands. Kirkland told deputies that Hill’s purse and backpack were missing from the residence.

Hill is 5-foot-6 and weighs 125 pounds, Metts said. Hill has red hair and green eyes. Hill has a porpoise tattoo on her left thigh. Hill was last seen wearing a green T-shirt inscribed with “Everybody Loves Irish People,” blue jeans and athletic shoes.

Detectives entered Hill as a missing person on the National Crime Information Center computer database, Metts said.

Metts asked anyone with information concerning Hill or her whereabouts to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
