Suspect Puts Clerk in Storage Room During Dollar General Robbery

North, SC (WLTX) - Police in the Orangeburg County town of North are investigating a robbery at a Dollar General store Thursday.

The incident happened around 8:15 a.m. at the store located at 4479 Savannah Highway.

Officers say the suspect entered the store wearing a hooded jacket and had a ski mask covering his face. The clerk told police the suspect pointed a weapon at her, demanded money, and forced her to go into a storage room.

The clerk was not hurt.

Officers say the suspect left the store after taking the money. Investigators searched with K-9 units in the area, but were unable to locate him.
