Sheriff: Man shot, left to die

KERSHAW COUNTY, SC - After several months of investigating, investigators are asking the community for any information that would help solve an unsolved murder.

According to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, around 2:30 a.m., 37-year-old Daniel Lee Wood, Jr. was found dead next to his home located on Kelly Street in Elgin on October 9, 2011.

Upon arrival, investigators say they determined that Wood had been murdered by an unknown suspect(s).
