Police say SC hospitality official missing
Monday, February 20, 2012

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Columbia Police are asking for help finding the President of the South Carolina Hospitality Association.

The family of Tom Sponseller is concerned for his safety and well being.

A family member reported Sponseller missing at the Columbia Police Department Saturday night after repeated attempts by relatives and friends to contact him directly were unsuccessful.

His family told police it is unusual for Sponseller to not respond to their calls or make contact with them.

Sponseller was last seen at work on Lady St. in downtown Columbia around noon on Saturday. Police said Sponseller's car has been located, but aren't releasing where it was found.

Sponseller is a 61-year-old white male, approximately 6'1" and weighs 160 pounds. He has gray hair, hazel eyes and typically wears glasses.

If you know where Sponseller is, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
