One arrested, two sought in armed carjacking

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Richland County Deputies arrested one man and are searching for two more they say were part of an armed carjacking.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, around 11 p.m. two armed men carjacked a Ford Explorer on Hallbrook Drive on December 29.

Deputies say around 7 p.m. on January 1, they spotted the stolen truck in the area of Leesburg and I-77 and a chase ensued.

According to deputies, there were three men inside the vehicle.

The chase came to an end on Percival Road and Clemson Road.

Tyrone Bernard Robinson was arrested as deputies continued to search for the other two suspects.

Robinson is currently charged with possession of a controlled substance and trespassing and there could be more charges to come say deputies.
