Lancaster Sheriff’s Office Investigating Murder

Lancaster, SC – On Thursday, 01-19-2012 Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 1963 Roseanna Ln., Lancaster, SC regarding some type of disturbance. A neighbor called 911 after a child came from the residence beating on their door and three people were seen running from the residence. When Deputies arrived they found the door to the residence open and located the victim 23 year old Jenika Jones deceased on the couch. Jones who lived at the residence appeared to have been shot to death.

Criminal Investigators, Crime Scene Investigators, and K-9 tracking deputies arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation.

Sheriff Faile said, “We are actively pursuing leads in the case and the full extent of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office investigative capability will be activated to help identify and bring to justice the violent person/persons responsible.”
