FBI Warns of New Phishing Scam
Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The FBI is warning there is a new scam out there to steal your money.

It's a phishing scheme that uses spam emails that appear to be from agencies such as the Federal Reserve or the FDIC.

When you open the email, you're told there's a problem with your bank account and in order to fix it, you must click on a link.

The link, however, takes you to a phony website that downloads malware and grabs everything off your computer needed to steal your banking information.
