Suspect charged with Attempted Murder after stabbing

Lancaster, SC – On 12/07/2011 the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tommy Terrell Manago (B/M Age 21 Address: 2208 Horton Rollins Rd. Kershaw, SC) after a stabbing took place at 215 Wheat St. in Kershaw, SC. The investigation revealed that Manago was at the residence where his ex-girlfriend resides. Manago forced his way into the residence and began fighting with the victim, 42 year old Alonzo Bracey of Kershaw.

During the fight, Manago stabbed Bracey with a kitchen knife. Manago fled the scene. Deputies, Investigators, and Crime Scene Personnel arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation. Bracey was transported to Springs Memorial for treatment.

Manago was arrested after deputies searching for him located him on a traffic stop a short time later.

Manago has been jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center and has been charged with Attempted Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime. Manago remains incarcerated awaiting a bond hearing.

As of the time of this release, Bracey has been released from the hospital.

Sheriff Faile said, “Our deputies and investigators did a great job responding to this incident and we are happy that victim is recovering well. I am thankful we were able to quickly identify and apprehend the suspect before he was able to cause any further harm to anyone. Job well done.”
