West Columbia Investigates Fatal Hit and Run

West Columbia, S.C. – The West Columbia Police Department is investigating a traffic fatality that occurred during the early morning hours in the 1300 block of N.12th Street. According to Major Jackie Brothers, it appears that a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking northbound on the sidewalk. The vehicle then left the scene.

Police are looking for a white Chevrolet Camaro SS. The vehicle is possibly a 2010 or 2011 model with heavy front end damage. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police are asking that anyone with information concerning this case or the suspect’s identity contact the West Columbia Police Department at 803-794-0721.
