Police: Man pointed gun at woman’s head after assaulting her

COLUMBIA, SC - The Columbia Police Department has arrested a man accused of assaulting a woman and pointing a gun at her head after a verbal argument.

Police say 30-year-old Hafan Antonio Riley is charged with Third Degree Assault and Battery, First Degree Burglary and Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person.

According to an incident report, charges stem from accusations that Riley forced his way inside a residence on Grand Street and physically assaulted the female victim on October 30.

Riley also allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim's head.

Riley was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
