Police looking for person who spray painted “KILL” on local business
Thursday, November 17, 2011

CAMDEN, SC - The Camden Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for vandalizing a local business.

According to an incident report, police were en route to Wells Fargo to provide an escort, when they noticed that the door and wall of Tobacco Corner located at 510 E. Dekalb had been spray painted with the word “KILL” on November 13.

Police say that the corner of the building at Little St. and E. Dekalb, several tobacco signs and a Christmas wreath had been covered with orange spray paint.

In addition, police say the vandals also vandalized the outside of four stickers that were located on the inside of the store.

Also, on the walls next to the door, the words “KILLS YOU” had been spray painted in orange.

Police say they searched the perimeter and discovered two more of the same type of signs from the Tobacco Corner in a flower planter, leaning against the front wall of a business located across the street, with orange paint fingerprints smeared on the back of them.

The scene was photographed and the signs were taken as evidence.

When the manager of Tobacco Corner arrived to the location, police say they assisted her in painting over the words that had been spray painted on the wall.
