Illegal Immigrant Charged with Sexually Assaulting Girl
Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County deputies Sunday arrested a man they say forcibly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl.

Marco Magallon, 29, of Elgin has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 14.

Officers say Magallon has been living with the girl's mother. They say the attacks came while the mother went to work and the girl was home alone with Magallon.

The young girl reported the assaults to her mother who contacted authorities.

Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says Magallon is an illegal immigrant from Mexico and has been living in the U.S. for about a year.

Magallon is currently being held in the Kershaw County Detention Center.
