Police Investigating Burglary and Armed Robbery
Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Saluda, SC (WLTX) - The Saluda Police Department is investigating a burglary and armed robbery that happened at the 600 block of Bonham Road on Saturday.

Officers said the victim had left the house earlier that evening for a period of time and when they returned home, they were met by multiple armed robbers inside the residence.

Officers said the robbers were dressed in all black, wearing ski masks and gloves.

The victims were forced to the ground and then they were restrained with duct tape, according to authorities.

Officers said some of the victims were assaulted and threatened, however, no one was seriously injured.

The robbers left the scene with stolen property in what the victims say sounded like a large SUV type vehicle.

Victims reported that cash, two laptop computers, jewelry, and a Nintendo DS were taken from the residence.

Saluda Police Department officers and members of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) also responded to the scene.
