Investigators seek burglar who stole lawn equipment

LEE COUNTY, SC - Investigators are trying to figure out who’s responsible for breaking into a local business and stealing almost $30,000 in lawn equipment.

Lee County investigators say the burglary occurred between October 15-17 at the Sparrow and Kennedy Farm Center located on Sumter Highway in Bishopville.

According to the victim, the alleged burglar gained entry into the business by cutting a fence that was located at the west side of the building.

The victim says that the suspected thief stole two John Deere Gator T-series utility vehicles and a John Deere Z-Trak riding lawnmower valued at $28,500.
