Thursday, September 8, 2011

ORANGEBURG, SC - An Orangeburg woman is recovering after being stabbed and burned by a woman who accused her of having sex with her husband, according to an Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office incident report.

Deputies were called to a home on Willie Rd. on Monday after the 40-year-old victim said she was assaulted by an unidentified woman she believes she knows through a mutual friend.

The victim said the 30-35-year-old woman was driven into her backyard in a small black car around 9:00 p.m. The two got into a verbal dispute when the victim approached the car to see what was going on, the report stated.

According the the victim, the woman accused her of having sex with her husband and then threw hot grease on her and stabbed her in the leg with a kitchen knife.

Deputies said during the investigation that they did see burns on the victim's feet and a small stab wound on her left leg. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim did not know the accused assaulter's name, but said she would call her friend to try to get the woman's identity. Deputies said once they had the suspect's name, they would follow-up with possible charges.
