SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A pregnant woman and her unborn child died at the hospital early Thursday morning after being caught up in an ambush-style shooting, according to family members. The shooting happened just before midnight Wednesday in the Cherryvale community off of Highway 76. According to family, a total of four people were shot, including the deceased woman, a man and a two-year-old boy and his mother. One man was taken into custody at the scene, but it is unclear if he has been charged with a crime. Details from authorities about the incident are very limited.
