Meth Bust in Residential Irmo Neighborhood
Monday, September 19, 2011

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - What began as an anonymous tip to the Richland County Sheriff's Department turned into a drug bust in a residential neighborhood in Irmo Sunday.

Deputy Arielle Riposta said officers received a tip that the residents of an apartment on Manorwood Court were involved in manufacturing methamphetamine. Deputies were also tipped off about a green Chevy pickup truck.

Riposta said when the truck was pulled over deputies found what appeared to be a mobile meth lab.

Deputies are currently awaiting search warrants for the apartment; however, five suspects have been arrested in connection to the bust. Their identities and charges have not been released at this time.
