Victim in fatal gas station shooting identified

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed Sunday evening at a Richland County gas station.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Yhonny Limber Jimenez, 26, was shot just after 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Shell gas station on Percival and East Boundary Roads.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said it received a call of shots being fired in the area. Upon arrival, deputies reported that a victim had been shot in the upper body.

Jimenez was taken to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation. Deputies have not provided any information about a suspect.
