Suspect says marijuana-laced Rice Krispies treats were for his aunt
Tuesday, August 2, 2011

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WYFF) - Spartanburg County deputies say they found cocaine, money and 29 Rice Krispies treats with marijuana in them during a traffic stop.
Deputies said they pulled a car over for driving in the center lane and then crossing over the line on the right side twice.

Deputies said during the stop they found 14 small bags of white powder, believed to be cocaine, on the floor behind the passenger seat.

Also inside the bag was a small colorful bag containing cash, deputies said.

The deputy said he also found a plastic bag containing Rice Krispies treats that smelled like marijuana inside the trunk.

The passenger, Chris Duffy, told deputies the marijuana Rice Krispies treats were for his sick aunt and that he purchased them at a concert in Atlanta.

Duffy was arrested and booked into the county jail for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
