Deputies seek burglar who gave homeowners a scare
Thursday, August 25, 2011

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC - The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a person involved in two home burglaries, early Thursday morning.

According to deputies, the first home burglary happened around 3:15 a.m. at a home on Wexford Lane and the second one around 5:15 a.m. on West Passage Rd.

Both homes are located in the Wexford Subdivision, off of SC 6 near Lexington.

Deputies say that the burglar entered the homes through doors that had been left unlocked.

Both victims were inside their residency at the time of the burglary and saw the suspect.

The homeowners gave deputies the same description of the burglar.

Deputies say they believe it was the same person at both homes.

Both victims lived alone, one a man and the other a woman, deputies say.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what items were stolen.

Deputies have not released a description of the suspect.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department wants to remind the community to lock all exterior doors and windows at night.
