Bodies of 2 women found in bloody comforters
Wednesday, August 3, 2011

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (AP) - Police in Simpsonville are investigating the deaths of two women found in the bedroom of a home.

A relative asked officers to check on the women Tuesday afternoon. When they showed up at the home, police found the victims' bodies wrapped in bloody bed comforters.

Officers say a man found in the home is being interviewed. No charges have been filed.

The names of the victims have not been released while relatives are notified.

Neighbors told WYFF that a woman, her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend live in the home, but police have not yet confirmed that information.

Neighbors said that police have been called out to the home before, but they said that the Poinsettia neighborhood is not typically place where there is any crime.

Greenville County Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis says autopsies will be conducted Wednesday. Ellis says both bodies had signs of obvious trauma.
