Man arrested for raping his 17-year-old live-in girlfriend
Wednesday, July 6, 2011

RIDGEWAY, SC - A Ridgeway man who police say raped his 17-year-old live-in girlfriend was arrested and jailed.

37-year-old Latron Trumel Addison is charged with raping his 17-year-old live-in girlfriend, reports say.

According to police reports, the victim told a male friend that her boyfriend had forced her to have sexual intercourse with him.

Police say when they arrived on the scene to answer a complaint, the boyfriend and male friend were separated due to a physical altercation.

The victim’s male friend told officers that Addison had raped his girlfriend and at the time the victim was too upset to comment, police say.

Addison claimed he had no idea of what the whole situation was about.

According to police the victim’s mother told them that the victim and Addison are boyfriend and girlfriend and that they live together.

The mother also said that Addison was suppose to pick her daughter up from work, but he failed to show up on time, so she had to get a ride home from someone else.

She added that when her daughter arrived home she knew something was wrong with her, reports say.

Police say the victim confessed that she had been forced to have sex with Addison.

The victim was transported to FMH and Addison was taken into custody.
