Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance locating a missing person

Lancaster, SC – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance locating a missing person. On July 13th, 2011, Edith Cauthen (B/F 68 YOA) was reported missing by family members. Family members report that Cauthen was last seen walking on Old Lynwood Cir in Lancaster near her home approximately 1 (one) month ago.

Family members reported that Cauthen suffers from medical conditions that require special care.

Cauthen is described as a black female, 68 years of age, 5’09’’ tall, approximately 130 lbs. Family members were unable to provide a clothing description.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office have begun a detailed investigation. Cauthen has been entered as a missing person and information has been distributed to surrounding law enforcement agencies. Investigators are searching area hospitals and speaking with neighbors and family members for additional information.
