Hit and Run Accident Leaves One Dead

West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Authorities are investigating a pedestrian accident that left one man dead on Airport Boulevard Friday night.

Lexington County Coroner said Brunson Wallace Hendrix, 47, of West Columbia, was crossing Airport Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle just before 11 p.m. outside Club Animal.

Deputies said he died at the scene from injuries.

The driver left the scene and has not been identified, said authorities.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner's Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and Cayce Police Department.
