Deputies: Teen used girls' nude photos to obtain sexual favors
Friday, July 29, 2011

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Richland County deputies are looking for victims of a teen they said obtained nude pictures of high school-age girls and used the pictures as leverage in order to get them to do sexual favors for him.

Sheriff Leon Lott said Robert Gilchrist, 19, threatened a young woman over the phone before going to her house on Thursday. The victim told deputies Gilchrist presented a gun and took her around the back of her house, where he attempted to sexually assault her.

The victim was able to get away, and deputies said Gilchrist ran away before deputies detained Gilchrist in the complainant's backyard.

Gilchrist is currently at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Lott asked anyone who may have been a victim to contact the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
