Deputies seek murder suspect nicknamed "Chicken Wing"
Thursday, July 21, 2011

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Richland County deputies are looking for a man with an unusual nickname who's wanted for a serious crime -- murder.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Leon Lott asked for the community's help locating Wayne Lamar Mobley, 22, also known as "Chicken Wing." Lott said Mobley shot and killed Bobby Edwards Jr. on April 11 at a house on Winterwood Road.

Lott said investigators were able to gather information from witnesses that lead them to Mobley. According to Lott, Mobley bonded out of jail in September 2010 for two counts of murder, two counts of armed robbery and two counts of trafficking cocaine.

Mobley is considered armed and extremely dangerous, according to Lott, who asked anyone with information about the crime or Mobley's location to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
