Suspect Wanted in West Columbia Robbery/Attempted Murder

WEST COLUMBIA, SC – The West Columbia Police Department is looking for an individual wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the city on June 21, 2011. At approximately 12:19 p.m. at 526 N. Brown Street Apartment 2, a black male suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the victim. A struggle ensued and the suspect fired a shot at the victim. The victim was not hit by the shot and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Investigators from the West Columbia Police Department have obtained warrants for Robert Lee Clark, B/M 5’10” 225lbs., age 25, of 1371 Winterwood Road in Columbia. The warrants are for Armed Robbery with a deadly weapon, Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Police are asking that anyone with information concerning this case contact the West Columbia Police Department at 803-794-0721.
