Sumter Man Wanted in Connection to Teen's Death

Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Five men have been arrested in connection to a Sumter homicide and now police are looking for another man they say is armed and dangerous.

According to police, on Friday they responded to 911 calls of shots being fired at a home on Woodlawn Avenue at approximately 4:30 PM. Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old male lying in the back seat of truck with a gunshot wound to his upper body. EMS was called to the scene and the teen was transported to Tuomey Hospital where he died.

Investigators say the victim, 18-year-old Diontrae Epps, 24-year-old Travis Dunham, and 23-year-old Chris Davis went to the home to buy marijuana from Shoun Wright. Police say the deal turned into an armed robbery. After A brief struggle shots were fired by both parties and at some point the teen, who was waiting in the car was shot. The name of the 16-year-old victim has not been released.

Scottie Hickson, Rasheen Idries Greenwood II, and Shoun Wright have also been arrested on drug charges.

Travis Dunham and Chris Davis have been arrested, however police are now searching for Diontrae Epps of Barwick Road. Epps is considered armed and dangerous.
