Police: Cab Drivers Robbed at Gun Point

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia Police are looking for two male suspects accused of robbing cab drivers at gun point this weekend.

According to investigators, the suspects called for the taxi service and after a cab company employee picked up the patron, the suspects pointed guns at the victims and demanded money.

The first incident happened Friday morning around 5:30 when a Blue Ribbon cab driver was dispatched to 3622 High Circle. The victim said at that location, two male suspects approached the cab with weapons. The suspects discharged at least one gun and demanded money. No one was injured during this incident.

The second incident happened around 3 on Sunday morning when a Yellow Checker cab driver picked up two men from 739 Carnegie Street. The suspects asked the driver to stop at 3618 High Circle where the men are accused of demanding money from the cab driver while holding him at gunpoint. The suspects are also accused of firing a weapon at the victim. No one was injured in this incident either.

A victim described one of the suspects as a male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old with dreadlocks, wearing white shorts, a blue shirt, and a blue bandana.
